The Church of the Good Shepherd currently has online worship services on Sunday mornings at 9:30 and we have in-person availability depending on the Diocese of the Rio Grande’s requirements. (At present if children or other unvaccinated people are present, we wear masks. If they aren’t and the windows are open, masks can be dispensed with by agreement.) Following Holy Eucharist, we offer Holy Communion in the church or by car drive-through. Online Morning Prayer is on Mondays at 8:30, and in person Holy Eucharist is on Wednesdays at noon. All times are Mountain Time.
Christian Education on Sundays

Other groups such as Education for Ministry (EfM) and Contemplative (Centering) Prayer meet regularly online as well.
Silver City, New Mexico, is in Southwestern New Mexico, located where the Chihuahuan Desert and the Pinos Altos and Mongollon ranges meet. The Gila National Forest and Aldo Leopold Wilderness Area are in our backyard. Silver City is a beautiful city nestled in the high desert at 6,000 feet. The Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument is nearby.

After each Eucharist, join us in virtual fellowship (or in person, once restrictions are lifted).

We love to eat and talk, not surprising.
Where People at Good Shepherd Come From
Most of us live in and around Silver City, but we have members from the Mimbres, Pinos Altos, Cliff, Deming, and other towns and rural areas in the region. Our dynamic membership is from all over the U.S.

Although we have many cradle Episcopalians, we have a large number of members who come from other Protestant denominations, as well as from the Roman Catholic tradition. we range in age from young children to over ninety. The interaction of the young and old helps create a stability and commitment within our parish family.
Everyone is welcome. The Episcopal Church does not have closed communion.
