Our most recent rector was the Rev. Paul Moore, or as we usually called him “Father Paul.” He has recently moved to another job and at the moment Pastor Sarah and Deacon Tom are our clergy.
Fr. Paul was born in Latin America and raised by missionary parents there. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and uses Spanish for a part of the Eucharist.
He has been a priest for more than 25 years serving parishes in Ecuador and Texas. Paul’s wife, Karisse, is an Elementary Special Education teacher. They have three married sons and three beautiful grandchildren.
Fr. Paul enjoys the outdoors, music and woodworking as well as good liturgy and good preaching. He is passionate about the spiritual life in the church and about how the faith interacts with human culture, the environment, and border issues.
Fr. Paul holds a Masters in Intercultural Administration with a concentration in cross-cultural training from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT (1985) and a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation from the Seminary of the Southwest, Austin, TX (2012.) He recently finished a Doctor of Ministry degree from Virginia Theological Seminary, Alexandria, VA. His wife says he enjoys going to school!
He has a thoughtful, informal blog at https://watchingthespaces.wordpress.com/
